Irish Hospice Foundation

We appointed the Irish Hospice Foundation to be our national charity in 2014, and since then we have been working hard to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

The Irish Hospice Foundation strives to provide the best possible end of life care for people in Ireland, as well as providing practical support for the newly bereaved. It funds pioneering research on end of life and palliative care issues across Ireland. It has raised €2.5million for voluntary hospice groups by coordinating fundraisers such as its Sunflower Days and Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning.
In addition to this, it delivers programmes such as 'Nurses for Night Care' - a free national service that allows people with terminal illnesses other than cancer to choose to fulfil their wish to die at home. Its 'Hospice Friendly Hospitals' programme aims to improve end-of-life care in hospitals and nursing homes throughout the country.

The charity receives no state funding, and around 45% of the funding received comes from donations.

We are fundraising for Irish Hospice Foundation in a variety of ways, for example our managing director, Paul Clancy, will be cycling 600km across Italy this June! In addition, we recently hosted a charity golf day.

In 2014 we raised €5000 for the Irish Hospice Foundation, and this year we have already managed to raise €4640!
